Zaniac Launches After School, Minecraft Programs In Santa Monica
Can playing Minecraft help your kids learn STEM techniques? Zaniac, the operator of an after-school, education program which uses Minecraft and robotics to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to kids, said this week that it has opened up a location in Santa Monica--the first in a major expansion into Los Angeles. ParkMe Extends Real Time Street Parking Info To Westwood
Los Angeles-based parking app and information provider ParkMe announced this week that it has expanded its real-time, on-street parking information in Los Angeles to Westwood. The company said the expanded parking coverage in Westwood comes via a collaboration with Xerox and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation's LA Express Park. ParkMe has already been providing similar, real-time street parking information for downtown, Venice, and Hollywood through the same program.

Demand Media Sees Steep Drop In Content Revenues, Cuts Staff
Santa Monica-based Demand Media is continuing to see a steep drop in revenues from its content and media efforts, reporting Thursday afternoon that it had $15.9M in revenues from its Content & Media segments, compared with $33.6M in the same quarter in 2014. The company said the drop came due to traffic declines to eHow and lower ad monetization yields. Seedling Rolls Out New, Interactive App For Kids
Los Angeles-based Seedling, which develops a line of kids' activities products, has rolled out another, interactive application it calls Seedling Scavenger Bingo. Seedling said the new product combines both real world and digital play, blending physical products with digital game software. The new game revolves around real-world, scavenger hunts which are tracked on a digital bingo board. Quality Systems Set Trizetto's Margolis As Chairman
Irvine-based Quality Systems said early this morning that it has named Jeffrey H. Margolis as Chairman ofits board of directors, replacing founder Sheldon Razin, who had been Chairman of the company since it was founded in 1974. Razin is 77. Margolis is currently Chairman and CEO of Welltok, and was founder of enterprise healthcare software provider TriZetto. He had joined Quality Systems' board in 2014.
