Chatsworth-based North American Scientific, a provider of radiation therapy products and cancer treatment centers, said earlier this week that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its NOMOS Radiation Oncology business. The deal is worth approximately $3.6M. North American Scientific is selling the unit to Best Medical International. According to North American Scientific the deal consists of $500,000 cash plus assumption of approximately $3.1M of liabilities. North American Scientific was advised by CIBC World Markets in the deal. North American's NOMOS unit was located in Pennsylvania.
