French firm Avanquest Software said this morning that it has acquired Calabasas-based Nova Development, a publisher of software for the Windows and Macintosh markets. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Avanquest is a profitable publisher of business and consumer software titles for the PC market. Nova had annual sales of approximately $32M in 2006, according to Avanquest, and employs more than 70 people. Roger Bloxberg and Todd Helfstein, founder of Nova Development, are joining Avanquest Software as executives and shareholders.
