Onestop Internet: Amazon Serious Threat To Apparel Brands

Los Angeles-based e-commerce service provider Onestop Internet--which is backed by Bessemer Ventures and Fung Capital USA--said it has run a new consumer survey, which shows that Amazon is a "serious threat" to its customers, apparel brands. The company said that its survey shows of the 47 percent of respondents who plan on purchasing apparel online over the holidays, 65 percent intend to buy from Amazon. Onestop called Amazon "a very real threat" to online brands' sales. The company said it tapped Survata for the study, which interviewed 501 online respondents. The company said the margin of error for this study at a 95% confidence level is 4.4%. Onestop Internet provides e-commerce fulfillment and technology to fashion brands, handling all the technology, marketing, merchandising, design, warehousing and fulfillment, as well as customer support to those brands.
