San Diego-based Overland Storage has rolled out new, disk-based data protection products targeted at the SMB market, the firm said earlier this week. Overland said that its new REO 1500 provides disk-based backup, recovery, and virtual tape library functionality for small to medium-sized businesses. The new unit supports up to 2B of data and what the firm says is performance that is five times faster that its previous models.
