    Planetwide Games Becomes Planetwide Media

Los Angeles-based Planetwide Games, developer of the Comic Book Creator software, said Tuesday that the firm has changed the name of its operations to Planetwide Media. The firm said the change of name reflects an increase in marketing its Comic Book Creator line of products. Planetwide licenses its software to Marvel, Viacom/Paramount, Sony Online Entertainment, Virgin Comics, and others. The firm said that its software is now being used by consumers to create their own content for posting on social networks and blogs.
