Plant Prefab Finds $6.7M From Amazon, Obvious Ventures For Custom, Prefab Homes

Rialto, California-based Plant Prefab, a manufacturer of custom, prefabricated homes, has raised $6.7M in a Series A investment, according to the company. The Inland Empire company said the funding came from Obvious Ventures and the Amazon Alexa Fund. Obvious Ventures is the venture fund co-founded by Twitter co-founder Ev Williams. Plant Prefab manufactures custom, pre-fabricated single- and multi-family homes, which are much faster to build and reduces construction costs, as well as waste from on-site home construction. The company is led by CEO Steve Glenn.
