    QAD Buys Software Developer


    Santa Barbara-based QAD announced this morning that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Fulltilt Solutions, a developer of product information software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. QAD said that Pennsylvania-based Fulltilt Solutions develops enterprise software used for Internet-enabled commerce, which will become part of QAD's product line. The deal is expected to close by the end of the month. Fulltilt's co-founder and president, Bob Moyer, will lead a new PIM Product Unit witin QAD, and the company said Moyer will bring "key employees" of FullTilt with him. FullTilt's software is used to synchronize product information data between partners; the firm was founded in 1987.
