Qualcomm Buys Mobile WiMax Product Line
San Diego-based Qualcomm has purchased mobile WiMAX technology from Campbell, California-based TeleCIS Wireless. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. TeleCIS said it sold its 16e WiMax mobile SoC technology to an undisclosed major wireless vendor, which has been reported elsewhere as Qualcomm. TeleCIS Wireless is a developer of WiMAX semiconductors.
