    Qualcomm Completes Flarion Buy


    San Diego-based Qualcomm has completed its purchase of Flarion Technologies, the company said Thursday. Qualcomm said that it paid approximately $600M in stock and cash, including assumption of vested options and warrants. Flarion Technologies is a developer of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex Access (OFDMA) technology for broadband Internet protocol services. The deal also includes up to $205M in additional cash and Qualcomm stock if certain milestones are met.
