    Qualcomm Revs 3G Chipsets

San Diego-based CDMA wireless phone developer Qualcomm said today that it has integrated new sound enhancement technology into the company's wireless chipsets. Qualcomm said that it has added echo cancelling technology from Royal Philips Electronics into its Mobile Station Modem (MSM) chipsets to improve the acoustic performance of 3G mobile handsets. The new capabilities will be available in the company's Enhanced Multimedia Platform MSM6550(TM) and MSM6275(TM) chipsets.
