RealD Opens European Offices
Los Angeles-based 3D theater projection firm RealD is expanding in Europe, saying Tuesday that it has hired on Bob Mayson as Managing Director of RealD Europe. RealD said that Mayson will lead the firm's European team, overseeing sales, customer service, and operations. RealD develops 3D projection technology which works in conjunction with digital theater equipment to project the recent crop of 3D films from Hollywood. According to RealD, Mayson joins from Kodak, where he was most recently General Manager and VP of Digital Motion Imaging, located in Los Angeles. Mayson, who is from Leeds, England, will return to head up the London office.
