RealD Signs Another Theater Chain
Los Angeles-based RealD is continuing to sign up theaters for the firm's 3D projection technology, saying Monday that the firm has inked an agreement with Dickinson Theatres to deploy its products in 100 screens. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. The systems will be deployed by the beginning of January. Dickinson Theatres owns 40 movie theatre locations in 11 states, covering 380 screens, and is based in Overland Park, Kansas. RealD's technology connects with existing and new digital theater projection systems.
