Report: Disney Shuts Down Metaverse Efforts

Burbank-based Walt Disney has reportedly shut down its metaverse division, with the company axing most of the people who were working on those efforts. The cuts also apparently included cuts to an Amazon Prime-like subscription service for Disney. The shutdown comes as Disney is laying off 7,000 employees.
