Resonant Buys Swiss Company

Goleta-based radio frequency filtering technology developer Resonant has acquired a Swiss company, GVR Trade SA, which provides design and consultation on Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) and Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) devices. The company said it paid $1.1M in stock and cash for GVR Trade, which was owned by Dr. Victor Plessky. Plessky joins the company as Director of Engineering, as will GVR Trade SA's other key technical staff. Resonant said that it has been working with GVR since 2008, collaborating in development of a key components of its products.
