ReVision Optics Commercially Launches Vision Correction Products To Market

Lake Forest-based ReVision Optics, which develops implantable, corneal inlay technology used for vision correction, says it has commercially launched its Raindrop Near Vision Inlay within the U.S. The company said it treated its first patients in Houston and San Antonio, Texas, and in Bloomington, Minnesota on Tuesday. The first use of its corneal inlays were at sites which had previously been part of its clinical trials efforts. ReVision Optics said it plans a broader expansion later this year to new sites. The company's corneal inlay is aimed at correcting near sightedness, or presbyopia.
