Ring Launches Its Own Whole Home Security System

Santa Monica-based Ring is extending itself beyond its very popular, Internet-connected doorbells and security cameras, to whole home security, and has launched a new product called Ring Protect. Ring said its new Protect Security Kit costs $199, and will ship on November 17th, and will offer up a contact sensor, motion detector, keypad, and other components to monitor any apartment or house. The new whole home security system will send users instant mobile alerts when doors or windows are opened or when motion is detected in your home, according to Ring.
