Sekr Launches New, Premium, Offline Capable Service

San Diego-based Sekr, a startup which offers a mobile app for helping people plan outdoor travel, says it has launched a new, premium subscription service. The company said the new service, Sekr+, allows its features to be available offline and when its users are on the road. The company said the subscription service allows users to download maps and campsite information for offline use, and adds premium map layers like U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service overlays to find public land boundaries. The company explained that the new features come as its users were finding that even though the world is increasingly connected, reliable internet connectivity is "never a given when on the road less traveled".
