Semtech Gets Another Win In India

In the second win in the country of India announced to Camarillo-based Semtech this week, the analog and mixed signal semiconductor developer said this morning that it has signed up another customer in India. According to Semtech, Ahoy Systems, an an electronic design house and OEM for several smart city devices, is using its technology for "smart" street lighting solutions. Volumes and financial impact of the design win were not announced. Ahoy Systems' street lighting produts are used by municipalities, network operators, LED companies, residential managers, and parking lots to automtaically dim according to schedules, adjust to moonlight, and send messages to managers if a malfuction is detected, according to the company. Semtech's LoRA technology provides low power, wireless communications for devices.
