    Sequenom Hires R&D Head
    San Diego-based Sequenom, which is developing genetic analysis products, has hired a new Senior Vice President for Research and Development. The firm said it hired Betty Dragon, Ph.D. to the position. Dr. Dragon joins from Roche Molecular Systems. She was most recently Senior Vice President of Global Standardization and Vice President of Diagnostics Development at Roche. Sequenom is developing genetic analysis products that the company is targeting toward non-invasive prenatal testing, biomedical research, molecular medicine and agricultural applications.
