    Siimpel Gets Investment From Motorola


    Arcadia, California-based Siimpel has received an investment from Motorola's venture capital arm, Motorola Ventures, Motorola said Wednesday. Motorola said that Motorola Ventures made an equity investment in Siimpel, but did not disclose the amount of the investment round. Siimpel is a developer and manufacturer of microelectromechanical (MEMS) devices for mobile phones. Siimpel is also venture backed by Qualcomm, Micron, SunAmerica Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Global Catalyst Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Zone Ventures, Flextronics International and Portage Ventures. Siimpel's products are used for mobile handset cameras.
