San Diego-based SKY MobileMedia, a provider of software for the wireless handset industry, has scored a design win with a phone chip manufacturer. Austin, Texas-based Silicon Laboratories and SKY MobileMedia said today that they have partnered ona pre-integrated solution that combines SKY MobileMedia's applications software with Silicon Laboratories single-chip cell phone. The solution is targeted at handset manufacturers looking to develop handsets for the mobile market. SKY is venture backed by Enterprise Partners and Sid R. Bass Associates.
