    SMC Ships New 10/100 Switch


    Irvine-based SMC Networks (www.smc.com) announced a new switch in its TigerSwitch line. The company's new eight-port 10/100 switch adds a 100BASE-FX multi mode port and is targeted at small to medium-sized networks. The switch is designed to connect into network backbones, and features VLAN, GVRP, and priority queuing features.
