SoonR Taps X1 For Desktop Search
Menlo Park-based SoonR and Pasadena-based X1 announced today that SoonR is using X1's desktop search to enable secure mobile access to desktop search from any mobile device. SoonR is a provider of secure mobile access for PCs. X1 said that the new service will allow email, contact, and events indexed by X1 software to be accessed via any mobile device, including mobile phones and PDAs. SoonR said that the search ability would be available for no additional cost over basic data service fees. X1 is an Idealab startup backed by US Venture Partners.
