Hawthorne-based SpaceX unveiled the Dragon V2 in a dramatic anouncement last night at its headquarters here, showing off what it says is a spacecraft capable of carrying up to seven astronauts into space and back. The Dragon V2 is reusable, and is able to land using controlled descent like a helicopter. Plus, SpaceX said the new Dragon V2 will automatically dock with the International Space Station, without requiring astronaut intervention. Musk showed off the new spacecraft in a live webcast.
