Starbucks To Offer Delivery In LA Via Uber Eats

Do you just have to have that Starbucks coffee, but you just don't want to go down the street to pick it up? Starbucks announced on Tuesday that it will be expanding delivery of its coffee in Los Angeles--along with five other cities--through a deal with Uber Eats. According to Starbucks, the expansion of its Starbucks Delivery service follows a test in Miami of the service; the company hopes to eventually bring the delivery service to around one-quarter of its U.S., company-owned stores. Starbucks said it will charge a $2.49 "booking fee" to order for delivery, but will offer up delivery of food and beverage items within 30 minutes, with a mobile app which will track progress and location of their Uber courier. The service has initially launched in San Francisco, with the expansion to Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. in the next few weeks. Starbucks did not say exactly what parts of Los Angeles will be covered by the delivery service.
