Beau Laskey, a venture capitalist who was most recently with EDF Ventures in San Diego, has joined Steamboat Ventures, the venture capital arm of Disney. Laskey said in a email that he has joined Steamboat Ventures as a Managing Director. Laskey reports that Steamboat, which is based in Los Angeles, is currently investing $400M in digital media, content, and entertainment, along with "pick and shovel" infrastructure assets for the industry.
