    Strix Deploys In Kentucky

Calabasas-based outdoor wireless mesh networking firm Strix Systems has scored another deployment, saying today that it has installed its products in Owensboro, Kentucky for PowerNet Global Communications. The deployment is part of an outdoor wireless system serving a 20-square mile area in Owensboro. The install is part of a broadband Internet access and mobile Internet service operated by PowerNet Global Communications, called "LiquidGrid." Financial details of the installation were not disclosed. The WiFi service is the first available, high speed Internet service being offered by a local telco in rural Owensboro.
