Calabasas-based Strix Systems has deployed its hardware in an installation in Belgium, the firm said yesterday. Strix said that Citymesh bvba, a Strix partner in the country, has deployed a citywide wireless mesh network in Blankenberge, Belgium. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Strix said that the deployment covers the town of 20,000 residents in its city center, promenade, harbor, and surrounding camp areas. Strix is a provider of Wi-Fi mesh networking hardware. The firm is venture backed by Palomar Ventures, Crosslink Capital, El Dorado Ventures, and Windward Ventures, among others.
