UCLA Anderson: More Uncertainty As Russia-Ukraine War Ramps

A new report from the UCLA Anderson Forecast says that--unfortunately--Russia's invasion of Ukraine has injected more uncertainty into the U.S. and California economies, just as things were heading back to "normal" after two years of a pandemic. The national economic forecast by UCLA Anderson said that the events in Ukraine have "injected a new sense of uncertainty and risk into the forecast". UCLA says that inflation--with higher oil and energy prices--is a major impact, with further impacts dependent on how long the war between Russia and Ukraine will last and whether it will spread to include other countries.
