San Diego-based Verari Systems has announced new, 4GB Fibre Channel storage arrays, saying this week that its new products provide up to 8TB of capacity in a 3U form factor, aimed at the midrange computing market. Verari, which develops blade computing systems, said that its new VS4000 storage arrays provide 16 drive bays, up to 4GB of cache, and are focused on mid-range and HPCC applications. The systems support both SATA and Fiber Channel drives. Verari said the product will ship in June.
