Wave Sports + Entertainment Snags $27M More

Los Angeles-based Wave Sports + Entertainment (WSE), which provides sports content to Snap, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, says it has raised $27M more in a Series B funding round. The funding was led by TZP Group, and also included Crossbeam Venture Partners and GPS Investment Partners, plus Verance Capital, Nimble Ventures, NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, Golden Ventures, Sweet Capital, Henrik Kraft, the NFL's Baker Mayfield, and sports personality Jay Williams. The company develops sports content. A part of the funding, the company also said it has added Rich Battista (former CEO of Time, Inc. and Gemstar-TV Guide) to its board; Battista i also on the board of Major League Baseball Players, and also was at Fox and Mandalay Sports Media.
