Webmetrics Upgrades Application Monitoring Tools
San Diego-based Webmetrics announced that it has upgraded its AppMonitor-DA application monitoring tools to support simulation of web applications, including ActiveX, Java Applets, and Windows executibles. The service monitors transactions on the web to allow companies to monitor uptime and performance of those services. The AppMonitor service allows non-browser based web applications to be monitored and tracked. The hosted service tests application availability and performance up to every five minutes, and now supports Internet applications such as Instant Messaging and Flash and delivery of application software in addition to browser-based web transactions.
