Westlake Village BioPartners Raises $450M Fund

Los Angeles-based Westlake Village BioPartners said this morning that it has raised a new, $450M fund, its third fund. According to the firm, the new fund brings its total raised to $1.3 billion. As part of the new fund, the firm said it has added David Allison, Ph.D. as a Managing Director, alongside current Managing Directors Beth Seidenberg, M.D., and Mira Chaurushiya, Ph.D. The firm said it will use the new funding to invest in "next-generation technologies with world-class talent to create transformative therapies that will change patients' lives." Allison was most recently a partner at 5AM Ventures.
