Wondery Picks Up $5M For Podcasting Network

Los Angeles-based Wondery, a startup which operates its own premium podcasting network, said on Thursday that it has raised $5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Greycroft Ventures, and also included Lerer Hippeau, Advancit Capital, BAM Ventures, Water Tower Ventures, Fox Networks Group, BDMI, plus such angels as Stanley Shuman and Michael Kassan. As a result of the funding, Greycroft's Jon Goldman joins the company's board of directors. In addition to Goldman, Comparably co-founder and CEO Jason Nazar also sits on the company's board. Wondery's CEO and founder is Hernan Lopez, who was previously President and CEO of Fox International Channels. More information »
