Xirrus Gets Interoperability Cert
Westlake Village-based Xirrus, a provider of Wi-fi networking equipment, announced today that its family of products has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. The new certification covers basic Wi-Fi operationality using 802.11a/b/g, and also includes the WPA and WPA2 security protocols. Xirrus develops Wi-Fi equipment which provides higher density and bandwidth of wireless connections, which it is targeting and companies needing higher throughput and greater reliability of Wi-Fi connectivity.
