Yahoo, CBS Partner On Local News
CBS Television and Yahoo's Santa Monica-based Media group said this morning that the companies have entered into an exclusive video syndication agreement, to bring local news video to Yahoo's properties. The firms said this morning that local news video from 16 of CBS's owned stations will be made available on Yahoo. The deal calls for CBS and Yahoo to share revenue from advertising sold on the Yahoo site. Yahoo will feature 10 to 20 local news video stories per day in sixteen markets, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, and other markets.
