ZyXEL Ships Combo Wireless Adapter
Anaheim-based ZyXEL Communications (www.zyxel.com) has shipped a new, G-220 dual-mode wireless USB Adapter. The new adapter supports 802.11g, and connects to USB 2.0. According to the company, the product supports both client and access point (AP) functions into a single adapter, which allows for not only the connection into existing networks, but the creation of a wireless access point. The adapter can be used in conjunction with an Ethernet connection and software to easily create wireless networks and extend connectivity. Separately, the company also added a new wireless gateway, the G-2000 to its line of wireless gateway products.
