Conexant Rolls Out PCI Express Decoder

Newport Beach-based Conexant Systems said this morning that it has shipped a new, PCI Express broadcast decoder focused on PC applications. The company's new CX23885 device is focused on allowing manufacturers to develop applications such as video capture, television watching, or radio for personal computers. Conexant said that the new device supports PCI Express 1.0a and is 1.1 ready, and is the first in a line of devices for integrating television and external A/V capture. Conexant is a provider of semiconductors focused on broadband, communications, and networking.
