Sonos Launches New Android App

Santa Barbara-based Sonos, the growing developer of whole home audio streaming hardware, said Tuesday that it has released a brand new, Android application. According to Sonos, the new app includes a new design and simplified interface, as well as a new, universal search feature to help users look up music not only on their own devices, but on Pandora, Spotify, and other services. Sonos said the new app will be followed later this year by updated apps on iOS, the Mac and PC, with the iOS version due this spring. Sonos first released an Android app back in 2011.
