San Diego-based Active Network, the provider of sports registration and related web software for the sports and recreation industry, announced today that it has linked up with the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA), a group representing the sporting goods industry. According to Active, the two will work together via the Active Lifestyle Panel, a panel and survey effort being run by Active. Active Network said the move will help provide the SGMA with insights into behaviors, attitudes, and motivations of active consumers. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
