Aktino Lands Alaskan Customer
Irvine-based Aktino has landed Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA), an Alaskan telephone cooperative as a user of its embedded copper loop equipment. MTA will use Aktino's AK3000 platform for connecting its wireless cell sites. The equipment deployment will allow MTA to provide full and fractional DS3 to a majority of its wireless cell sites and copper-connected business customers. Aktino's hardware developers business-class broadband services over copper. Aktino is backed by Crosspoint Venture Partners, Foundation Capital, Huntington Ventures, Innocal, J.F. Shea, Miramar Venture Partners, and others.
