    Alelo Deploys With U.S. Army

Los Angeles-based Alelo, which is developing language learning systems targeted at teaching Iraqi Arabic to the military, announced that the firm's systems have been deployed by the U.S. Army's Southern European Task Force in Caserma Ederle, Italy. The firm's Tactical Iraqi product uses video games to teach troops Iraqi culture and language before deployment. The system is being used in Italy by the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade and other units. Alelo uses video game technology to teach language skills and cultural cues, and is a spinoff of the University of Southern California.
