Amionx Signs Deal With Chinese Manufacturer

Carlsbad-based battery technology developer Amionx, a developer of lithium-ion battery technology, says it has signed a deal with Chinese battery manufacturer Li-Fun. According to the two, the deal enables Li-Fun to produce batteries that include SafeCore by Amionx, the safer Lithium battery technology that is being developed by Amionx. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Amionx says its technology helps prevent batteries from being the source of explosion or fire. The startup is backed by Qualcomm.
