    CallWave Introduces Voice-to-Text Service

Santa Barbara-based CallWave announced a new service which converts mobile voicemail into text today, which it will offer to its users and as a private label service to carriers. The firm said that its new Vtxt service uses speech recognition to convert voicemails on user handsets into text messages which can be accessed from a web page. The service is currently in beta, and available for free to users. The service also delivers summaries of the voicemails via SMS to handsets. CallWave is targeting the service at busy professionals.
