    DATAllegro Releases Data Warehousing Appliance


    Aliso Viejo-based DATAllegro has released a new data warehousing appliance and a query router for its products. The company's new DATAllegro C25 appliance handles up to 25TB of user data and is targeted at customers looking to run queries against corporate databases. The new appliance includes SATA disk drivs and is based on the open source CA Ingres database, and according to the company is priced at $450,000. The company also said that it is rolling out a query routing add-on for its appliances that can be used for directing user queries against multiple DATAllegro boxes. DATAllegro is backed by Adams Capital Management, Intel, Palomar Ventures, and Venrock Associates.
