Digital Domain Expands In China, Taps Tech Veterans For Posts

Los Angeles-based visual effects company Digital Domain said on Wednesday that it is expanding in China, and has opened up new studio in Beijing. The company said it has named Frank Ming Wei--former President of Executive Director, Vice Chairman and CEO of Greater China, and also named three board members--including one from SoftBank. The three board members include Pu Jian (CITIC Limited), Alan Song (managing partner of SoftBank China Ventures Capital), and John Lagerling (formerly VP at Facebook, now Chief Business Officer at Mercari).
