DivX On Demand In Italy
San Diego-based DivXNetworks (www.divxnetworks.com) said today that it has signed an agreement with Wind, an Italian telecommunications company, to launch a secure, DivX-powered video-on-demand service on the popular Libero.it Italian web portal. Wind will offer full-length, DivX encoded video content to subscribers to the Libero web portal. DivX provides highly compressed, DVD-quality video encoding technology which can be viewed on PCs and on upcoming consumer devices with DivX decoding capability.
