Eventful Links With LBS Firms
San Diego-based Eventful, which operates an online service focused on listing and promoting local events, said today that the firm has partnered with three providers of location based services. According to the firm, it has partnered with Earthcomber, Loopt, and uLocate to provide microtargeted event data to the companies. Financial impact of the deals was not disclosed. Eventful said that the firms have incorporated its data into its software, to allow users to discover local event listings. Earthcomber is a provider of software for finding information about people places, and tings nearby to users; Loopt is a social networking service; and uLocate is a service used to find friends and other information based on location.
