Flossy Finds $14.7M For Discounted Dental Care

Los Angeles-based Flossy, which provides a membership-based program for dental care for people without insurance, said last week that it has raised $14.7M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by TTV Capital, and also included Slow Ventures, 8VC and Clocktower Technology Ventures. The company said its o investors include SV Angel and the founders of Carbon Health, Flatiron Health, Modern Animal, FabFitFun, GOAT, Tradesy and others. The startup is led by serial entrepreneurs Miles Beckett and Steve Seigel. According to the company, it provides pay-as-you-go discounted dental care, by connecting patients to highly rated dentists at an affordable price, with discounts of up to 50 percent and no upfront costs.
